About the Project

On avarage every UK adult works 37 hours a week. I’m fascinated by what we do with this time.

37 hours is a project exploring the working week. The early forms of “profession” were divinity, medicine and law; we’ve far supassed that now in the sheer variety and types of jobs/occupations/ professions available to us.

I want to explore and ultimately celebrate what people do for a living, why they do it and what makes them turn up to work every day.

I’m based in Oxfordshire and am looking to focus on a range of people locally to show the variety of people in one area of the UK. Each person will be interviewed and photographed – I will then use the photographes taken to create a protrait of each person to publish with their interview.

Based in Oxfordshire and want to join in? Please see my taking part page.
